  • First headquarters 1989First headquarters 1989

CMW Horticulture was founded in June 1989 as a joint venture between Austin Capes, Ian Metcalfe, Graham Ward and leading Dutch screens specialist Leen Huisman BV. From humble beginnings in a small rented business unit and portacabin, CMW has built a strong financial base and now operates from freehold administrative and warehousing premises conveniently situated in E Yorkshire near the M62 with easy access to all UK and European customers and suppliers.

In April 2014, after 25 years of co-operation with Huisman, the shareholders decided that the time was right for the UK Directors to assume control and a deal was agreed to buy out the Huisman majority.
