Environmental Control Computers
C.M.W. have
had a long association with Priva, the producer of the most successful
and popular environmental control computers used in horticulture.
We have installed and serviced computers of various size and complexity
from just one to fifty controlled zones. The Connext range of
computers is superbly reliable and the software packages that they
run can provide any grower with the tools to provide optimum growing
conditions for his glasshouse crop. The Connext is very flexible.
It can be installed with input and output connection points distributed
around the nursery or with all the inputs and outputs centralised
in one area. This flexibility gives us the facility to design and
install powerful control systems on any nursery. Our own engineers
carry out the installation and provide service and backup.
We have carried out
several installations on nurseries with CHP (combined heat and
power) units. The Connext ensures that when the CHP engines are
running, the heat and CO2 that is produced is used on the nursery
to best effect. Of course, if the engines are not running or not
producing enough heat or CO2, the Connext calls on the nursery's
boilers to maintain the desired temperature and CO2 levels.

to control irrigation and substrate
feeding systems.
All the factors
