KLI-MAX® slipping clutch

Gutters over 100 m long can contract and expand by 3 to 5 cm. With conventional fixed screens, this usually gives rise to considerable gaps during deployment of the screen.

Van der Valk have developed a clever solution: the KLI-MAX® slipping clutch system, for both push-pull and cable drive screen systems. The uniqueness of the KLI-MAX® slipping clutch lies in the choice of different slipping forces up to 12 kilograms, as a result of which the system is the strongest of its type. On the one hand this force ensures a truly seamless closure and on the other hand minimum screen sheet package size and therefore more precious light for your crop when the screen is parked.
The KLI-MAX® slipping clutch allows your screen to adapt to the expansion and contraction of the greenhouse. And in addition to the this the system is extremely durable thanks to the use of special materials which can easily resist the wear and tear of time.

With over 3 million KLI-MAX clutches now installed, the system has proved its popularity with growers all over the world.

Apex seals

Greenhouses have always been susceptible to having a 'cold side' despite advances in both overhead and side screens.

Cold air above an overhead screen will invariably collect at one gable end and this can result in a lower temperature in the growing area below the screen at the affected end.

CMW now offer a simple solution to this problem in the form of an intermediate Apex seal.

By installing vertical partitions of LS Solarwoven material between the horizontal overhead screen and the greenhouse roof, the cold air above the screen is prevented from collecting at one gable end and therefore the temperature differential in the growing area below is reduced or eliminated.
